Santa Cruz Machine Learning Kickoff Meeting

Welcome to the Santa Cruz Machine Learning Group! We cater to everyone from the curious to the professional. Bring your ideas and your wishlist of what you would like to get out of your new ML meetup! ProductOps has graciously allowed us to use their facility and we will have refreshments available.

For this first meeting, we would like the ML community to get to know each other by playing some ice breaker games. Perhaps we can come up with an outline of a charter or a binding vision for this group.

We also plan to provide a general overview of the field of machine learning and the types of solutions that this technology addresses. I recognize there may be some folks who are current experts and practitioners of ML so we’ll keep it brief.

There is another SC ML group on Meetup that has been largely dormant. I contacted that Meetup group organizer Chris Lippi and he gave me his support to figure a way to consolidate these two groups.
