Practicing yoga postures improves abilities like mindfulness, flexibility and balance. Applying tai chi principles to yoga postures is like using a microscope to deeply explore how to develop those abilities. In addition, tai chi principles can teach a practitioner of yoga how to notice and balance energy qualities in the body, such as lightness and heaviness. Balancing these forces opens lines of energy called meridians. Opening these energy lines naturally improves flexibility and balance as well as develops concentration.
This workshop is great for those who practice yoga and want to learn tai chi without learning new movements or postures as well as deepen their yoga practice. Tai chi practitioners who want to understand the energetics behind their tai chi movements will also benefit greatly from this workshop.
