Ajanta Caves are one of the well renowned places to visit. Ajanta Caves are declared "World Heritage Site" by UNESCO. Ajanta caves are situated at Jalgaon, which is 107 kilometers from Aurangabad City.

Caves are built by cutting the rocks into beautiful piece of art and architecture. These are the finest examples of some of the earliest Buddhist architecture, caves paintings and sculptures, these caves comprises shrines, dedicated to Lord Buddha & monasteries (Viharas) used by Buddhist monks for meditation and study of Buddhist teachings.

The paintings are executed on a ground of mud-plaster in the tempera technique. The paintings on the walls, illustrate the events in the life of Prince Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism and in the more popular Jatakas stories pertaining to Buddha's previous life. Some pictures recall the Greek & Roman compositions and proportions, few late resemble to Chinese manners to some extent. But majority belongs to a phase, which is purely Indian, as they are found nowhere else.

These monuments were constructed during two different periods of time separated by a long interval of four centuries. The older ones were the product of last to centuries before Christ and belong to Hinayana period of Buddhism in later part of 2nd century AD when Buddhism was divided into two sections, after the conduct of the fourth general council under another great king, Kanishka.

Ellora Caves are World Heritage Site, really impressive rock cut temples & monasteries. There are 34 caves, structures excavated out of the vertical face of the hills. There are 12 Mahayana Buddhist caves (caves 1-12), 17 Hindu caves (caves 13-29) and 5 caves of the Jain faith (caves 30-34).
The central attraction at Ellora is Kailash Temple (cave16), is the most remarkable. Shaped by hand from a single massive rock.

Tentative Itinerary :

Friday:
06:30 PM - Board a train to Aurangabad..

Saturday :

05:30 AM - Reach Aurangabad and check-in into hotel, freshen and finish breakfast by 0800AM.
08:00 AM - Start for Daulatabad Fort which is on the way to Ellora Caves in a private vehicle.
11:30 AM - Finish Visiting Daulatabad fort and start for Ellora.
06:30 PM - Finish visiting Ellora Caves and start back to Aurangabad visiting Grishneswar Temple.
09:30 PM - Dinner and retire for the day.

Sunday :
06:30 AM -Check out rooms & Start our journey to Ajanta Caves.
>> Reach Ajanta caves and We shall take a guide and start visiting the Ajanta Caves and will take till 0330 pm.
08:00 PM - Reach Back to Aurangabad and have dinner.
10:30 PM - Board Train to Hyderabad

Monday:
09:00 AM - Reach Hyderabad.
