Emotional Empowerment Ecstatic Dance (in person, Salem VA)

Ecstatic Dance is a judgment-free, non-verbal group space to explore authentic movement and restore your emotional flow alongside eclectic music. The set of music is woven in a wave format, i.e. starting slow, building up to a crescendo, and slowing down to stillness, so we can explore the expression of many levels of energy and emotional states within.
This particular dance is focused on Emotional Empowerment: empowering ourselves to have and feel all of our emotions, which is the antidote to self-rejection and depression! Emotional Empowerment comes through radical self-acceptance and healthy, safe, embodied expression of all of our emotional states. This dance is designed to support those who suffer from chronic depression, anxiety, stress, or other emotional imbalances by providing an uplifting yet moving musical backdrop to lovingly dance out your inner emotional experience.
Even if you don't identify as someone with emotional challenges, we would love to have your energy here! Ecstatic Dance is the ultimate self-care practice - and we will be sure to have a lot of fun!

We will be dancing on the lawn around the beautiful healing tree in the backyard at Glow Healing Arts in Salem, VA. We will circle up and be guided through a meditation beforehand, then dance, and have a closing circle.
