Ember 101 Workshop
Details
About the Event!
Join us for a workshop where we will teach how to build an Ember application using Ember-CLI and the latest & greatest Ember (2.4 LTS (http://emberjs.com/blog/2016/02/25/announcing-embers-first-lts.html)). You will get hands on experience at this guided workshop so you can walk away with the tools you need to dive in with Ember.
We are bringing back the workshop that did so well from last year and updating it to include current best practices, testing, generators, and more. Volunteer Ember experts will be on deck to give personalized attention and answer any and all questions about production deployment, scaling, caching, continuous integration, and whatever else you want to grill them on!
The RSVP list for this event will be limited to ensure everyone receives a personalized experience. If you have questions about this class, reach out to Josh Smith or Heather Brysiewicz (@caligoanimus (http://twitter.com/caligoanimus)) on Meetups or the sandiegojs slack channel, or in the ember-community slack.

Prepare for the event:
There are a number of things that you as an attendee can do to prepare your computer for the event.
-
OS: I strongly suggest the use of a Linux or Mac environment. This could mean a Mac/Linux VM on your Windows machine. Windows doesn't quite yet play nice with ember-cli but this is a serious focus in the upcoming months for the Ember core team, so you should see better support soon.
-
Dependencies: Follow these pre-event instructions to setup dependencies for the workshop (https://gist.github.com/hbrysiewicz/b29141f85840f181c8057c89c24dde42)
Please direct any questions about the preparation to Heather Brysiewicz (@caligoanimus (http://twitter.com/caligoanimus) h.a.brysiewicz at gmail [dot] com)
