Chess at Café Sperl

Hello chess players!

Summer is definitely over and it´s time to start some good chess games. I´m happy to announce that I was able to book one of the most traditional coffee houses in Vienna - Café Sperl.

Chess was commonly played in coffee houses in the 19th century, but at a certain point banned, because people were sitting for hours in front of the chess board without ordering anything. So please don´t make the same mistake and order a few drinks to support the host!

Café Sperl doesn´t provide chess boards, so please bring your own board if you have one.

Beginners and advanced players are welcome! Looking forward to seeing you again or for the first time!
