Today the Ford Foundation is steward of a $12 billion endowment committed to reducing poverty and injustice, strengthening democratic values, promoting international cooperation, and advancing human achievement. Join ComNetwork DC for a chat with Ironside as he shares insights from Ford’s research on how to reach Americans today, and lessons from his own organization’s efforts to break through in national conversation.
Ironside has nearly three decades of experience in strategic communications and public affairs. As part of the Ford Foundation’s executive leadership team he works on strategic planning and global brand management and partners with program teams to advance the foundation’s grant-making strategies and priorities. He joined the Ford Foundation from the United Nations, where he served as spokesperson for countries in crisis and then as chief of media relations for UNICEF.
Following his talk please enjoy cocktails and appetizers provided by New America during a networking hour.
