Who’s there? A bite into identity verification

The need to identify users online led to the rise of a whole new industry out there: digital identity. Many companies employ digital identity verification, as the username and password are simply not enough to establish trust. Think about Coinbase, Revolut, Paypal, Airbnb, etc. Some Croatian companies, particularly in the banking sector, have also worked on solutions for digital identity verification.

In this talk, we’ll explain the process behind digital identity verification, why it’s necessary, different strategies on how it can be done, and show why user experience plays an essential part. We’ll also reflect on the role of machine learning, computer vision, and biometrics, and Microblink’s contribution to building seamless user verification solutions.
