Introduction to Spinning and Knitting your First Jumper

This is the introductory lesson where you will learn the basic techniques of spinning yarn and knitting your first jumper. You do not need any prior skills as you learn them here.
Do not come expecting to make a jumper in your first lesson, we are learning a process over time, at our pace, rather than forcing an end result quickly.
This is the first in a series of workshops which will add on new levels of complexity as time progresses, there will be correspondence about these workshops when they are ready.
We will also discuss the logistics of a weekly community meeting to work on projects in the presence of others, please spin a yarn!
The rough agenda of the afternoon will be:
Introductions - Interactive 10 mins
Fashion Autonomy - Interactive 50 mins
A lesson in spinning and knitting - Theory and practice 1 hour
Spinning - Practical 1 hour
Knitting - Practical 1 hour
Bring yourself and a note-taking system. You will take home materials required to get you started.
