Hack Night: On the Trails App

We've been working with the folks from the various government agencies and Code for America to determine the next steps with the To The Trails web site developed by Code for America and our efforts in developing a mobile trail app. The current thinking points to our paths converging and using what's already been developed by our respective groups and partnering to develop a hybrid app (as with our earlier discussions, we've recently discussed PhoneGap) from the ground up. On Thursday, we'll discuss the status of user feedback groups that are taking place at the University of Akron, the status of buy-in from the various agencies that have been involved as to the path forward, ways to partner in the development of a mobile app, and what we'd like to accomplish with our hackathon, now tentatively scheduled for March.
