Calling all Literature fans!
This is the first meeting of the Manchester Classic Literature Club!
The first novel to be discussed is Sylvia Plath’s The Bell Jar. Set in New York in the 1950’s, Esther Greenwood struggles to find happiness within herself. The semi-autobiographical novel deals with issues of mental health and lost youth.
Everyone is welcome to attend, and people can discuss as much or as little as they’d like.
The venue is yet to be confirmed, as I’m waiting to get an idea of how many people are interested. It will definetley be in Manchester City Centre though.
