Some thoughts to get you thinking about the month's suggested theme, “Lucky Day/Outta Luck”:

The other day I found a $20 bill in my coat pocket. Wow, it was my lucky day! Did that set the tone for the rest of the day? No, but I was happy to find it. For some people, a positive incident can be a sign that more good things will follow. For others, it’s just twenty bucks to spend.

Some people see luck as something they help along by carrying charms, crossing their fingers, or wishing on a star. Others feel they make their own luck by keeping a positive attitude and working toward a goal. Can good luck happen with charms and incantations, or is it a matter of keeping our eyes open for opportunities that might improve our lives?

Do you have a story to tell? What stories do you have of being lucky, out of luck, or going from one to the other? Whatever it is, we'd love to hear it. And to quote our friend and mentor, Paul Currington: “Remember that a story isn't just a series of things that happened. There needs to be something at stake that you overcome by the end.”
