Soliciting Interest Charitable Monte Carlo Night

I thought it might be time to host an event to raise money for charity.

I have a full set of equipment to host Monte Carlo type charitable night. We could raise money for a local food bank, the Texas Flood Victims, or whatever charity the group chooses.

I have several games of chance; roulette, blackjack, craps, and poker. The way I typically run the night is: for the $25 paid in advance entrance fee each attendee gets $20,000 of Monopoly money to gamble. If they lose their money and desire to continue gambling, they can purchase an additional $10,000 of gambling money for $10. At the end of the night, the person having the highest winnings gets a $50 cash prize and has the honor of deciding what charity gets the donation.

Because we don’t want the host to absorb cost of food and drink, $5 of each entrance fee, will be used by the host to provide drinks and snacks. Drinks will include: beer, wine, soda, and water.

I will need 4-5 helpers who know how to run the games to assist me.

I’m thinking if we use upstairs and down stairs, we can accommodate about 50;players. With that number, I believe we can raise about $1000.

This event requires a lot of effort and participation to be successful. So before I formally schedule it …. I’m soliciting interest. If you’re will run a game for a short time, please let me know in the comments.
