🚀 Python is a great coding language and it has thousands of libraries that allow a few lines of code to do what we want, remember, practice is the best way to learn and improve your programming skills 🤓.

¡We need more women stepping up as tech professionals 👩🏻‍💻!

For this Magenta Codes's Meetup, we have two great professionals 👩‍🏫👩‍🏫 in programming with python who will share their technical knowledge and applications in the real world to perform analysis and visualization of data on a large scale 📊📈.

We'll wait for you on Wednesday, 29 July at 6:00 PM, GMT +2 (18:00h, CEST) in the [online session] 📅.

Schedule:

18:00 Welcome at Magenta Codes's Meetup
18:10 Talk 1️⃣: "Iteration Inside Out"
Speaker: Naomi Ceder (https://www.linkedin.com/in/naomiceder/):

Using for loops and list comprehensions in Python is basic and quite common, right? But how does iteration in Python actually work “under the hood”? The words “iterator” and “iterable” each occur over 500 times in the Python documentation, but what does an iterator actually do, as opposed to an iterable? And how do they do it? Learn the details as we turn the iteration protocol inside out, with live coded demonstrations along the way. Having an accurate understanding of the iteration protocol will help developing Pythonistas reason better about both iterating over existing objects and creating their own iterables and iterators.

🗣️ Naomi is an elected fellow of the Python Software Foundation, currently serves as chair of its board of directors. She also speaks internationally about the Python community, and on inclusion and diversity in technology in general. She has over 25 years of professional teaching experience, is the author of The Quick Python Book She has a tested and broad knowledge of Python.

19:00 Talk 2️⃣: "COVID-19 Data visualization using Python"
Speaker: Joseph Sara Julian (https://www.linkedin.com/in/julian-s-joseph/)

The talk will give the audience an idea on how to build a data story, taking Covid-19 dataset as an example. It will also include a walk-through of actual code and tips to overcome challenges one may face while coding.

🗣️ Joseph has a Computer Science and Engineering degree and has been a Women in Data Science [WiDS] Ambassador for Mumbai since 2018. She has been a Software Engineer at Fractal Analytics for the past 4 years, on products that use Data Science, Machine learning to aid human decisions.
