Details
We are looking for two speakers to present to us two different perspectives on the theme, "2020".
It’s the future, now where’s my jetpack - Challenges for designers in technology in 2020
Tom Wall - Principal UX Consultant, DiUS
The last decade was a Mr Toad’s wild ride of daring, disruption and disappointment. Technology continued to accelerate change in every part of our lives - for good and for bad. As a consultancy working with emerging technology - what new challenges does Dius see designers having to deal with for 2020 and beyond?
Tom Wall is a Principal UX Consultant at Dius and is generally focused on capturing lightning in a bottle – technology that is human, simple and entirely not as easy as it seems.
Launching into 2020 (workshop)
Justin Cheong - Lead Experience Designer, Australian Unity
As we approach a new decade, the potential for design to effect change is greater than ever. It all begins with you as a practitioner and as a human-being. Heading into 2020, what skills do you want to grow? What change do you want to see in the world? Let's workshop it together and with help from each other. This is an activity-packed workshop, be prepared to interact with your peers!
Justin Cheong is a multidisciplinary design lead, facilitator and design instructor. As a human-centred designer, Justin's practice is focused on two goals: 1) Shining a light on people's lived experience. 2) Designing (and re-designing) systems to work for people.
