You can’t control the weather…but learn how SD-WAN protected Harvey survivors with security, speed and business continuance with plug and play deployments and simplified management.

Sometimes slow is worse than stopped.

When your business technology stops due to an event such as a data loss, failed technology or a disaster - you notice. And you work quickly to find a solution.

But do you notice when your business technology starts to slow down? Often times, slow downs aren't really noticed until they've begun to have a significant impact on sales or employee productivity. Slow downs can come from aging technology, aging networks or the need for software patches and updates. These can all make work more cumbersome for employees and lead to larger problems, such as website shutdowns, security issues or data loss. By the time any of these happen, it can be incredibly difficult, if not impossible, to fix the problem.

New advances in cloud services and software-based networking deployments can improve the quality, reliability and security of your network, in turn improving productivity.

One such solution is Software-Defined Wide Area Network (WAN), or SD-WAN.

What is SD-WAN?

SD-WAN makes it simpler to connect to multiple branch offices through the use of software and cloud-based technologies. With SD-WAN, even the most remote offices can have access to the network speeds, reliability and security of larger offices/

Why switch to SD-WAN?

"When was the last time your company made major changes to its wide area network? Software-defined networking (SD WAN) promises to redefine the static world of wide area networks, and the relatively new technology uses software and virtual network overlays to make WANs easier to design, build and operate, while helping users address the challenges associated with mobility, cloud and the internet of things (Forbes)."

Advantages of SD-WAN:

Central and simple management.

SD-WAN can handle multiple types of connections, such as MPLS, broadband, and LTE.

Better application performance and efficient use of bandwidth.

SD-WAN allows businesses to tap into more bandwidth, which in turn allows all offices to be able to access all important applications.

Support for cloud and real-time apps.

More network at the same or less cost.

SD-WAN technology allows for the creation of a predictable and repeatable model. All locations, even small or remote ones, can be added to the private network. The increased bandwidth allows for fewer circuits and reduced administration time, which leads to cost savings.

What are the important features of SD-WAN?
