NYC SketchUp's First Regular Meeting!

Hello Fellow SketchUppers!

The NYC SketchUp User Group is back! With your support and enthusiasm, we're going to have great meetings every single month, on the third Wednesday of the month.

You spoke loudly back in April, and in the intervening months, about what it is that you want from a user group, and we're bringing it. We're going to have segments that will appeal to all types of SketchUp users, from those that have just heard about it, to those that are using it for their professional pursuits. And we're going to especially focus on two of the most exciting applications - Visualization (for architects, interior designers and other related fields) and Making (for product designers, and, er, Makers).

So look forward to monthly SketchUp User meetings with some great people presenting awesome training on how to use the software, case studies, and showcases of some great companies that are working with, and adding value to SketchUp.

The Goal... to teach, inspire and create a great SketchUp Community, and to show you all the great things that you can do with SketchUp.

Jimmy discusses how SketchUp should be a part of your visualization toolkit, and what he's learned about using it, professionally, for that purpose. Deeper Dive: Product Design and Illustration. Jonathan details his product design efforts employing SketchUp, with a brief side-tour of how he also wow'd some grizzled patent attorneys, too. Yeah, but what about (fill in the blank): Doing something truly cool with SketchUp? Something that's near and dear to your heart?
