We are pleased to be joined by representatives from local educational establishments in an informal panel discussion. In addition to networking about learning and employment opportunities, they will also be sharing some insight on how their programs may benefit your overall career aspirations!

· Dr. Shankar Banik is an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Director of Computer Science, and Co-director for Center for Cyber, Intelligence and Security Studies at The Citadel. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from University of Oklahoma. Banik has been leading cybersecurity education and research programs at The Citadel since 2013 and was instrumental in designing the cybersecurity program at The Citadel as well as the joint graduate program between The Citadel and College of Charleston. His research interests include network security, multicast protocols, overlay networks, and cybersecurity education. He has served as an advisor for 12 undergraduate students and 6 graduate students in different research projects in computer science which resulted in numerous peer-reviewed publications.

· Dr Aspen Olmsted is the Graduate Program Director at the College of Charleston. He obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of South Carolina. Dr Olmsted’s research focus is on the development of algorithms and architectures for distributed enterprise solutions that can guarantee security and correctness while maintaining high-availability. In his Secure Data Engineering Lab at the College of Charleston, Dr Olmsted mentors over a dozen graduate and undergraduate students each year.

· Betsy Hare is the Campus Director at The Iron Yard Charleston. In this role, she fosters community relationships, manage admissions, develops social media content, offers career support, and creates an awesome learning environment for both instructors and students. She is passionate about code education and always looking for new ways that she can connect with the Charleston community.
