## Preparations
A list of suggestions that will make your time at the workshop even more productive:
- Bring a computer
- Check if your computer runs the latest version of these applications:
- Chrome
- git
- [Node.js](https://nodejs.org/en/download/package-manager/)
- modV
- luminave
### Nice to have
The following suggestions are totally optional, so please don't worry if you can't fulfill them:
- Coding experience
- We will help you if you have no idea at all
- MIDI controller that can be connected via USB to the computer
- We will have some spare MIDI controllers for you to use, but if you want to buy one we can recommend the KORG nanoKONTROL 2 because it comes for a reasonable price, is portable & has a lot of buttons, faders and knobs
- Arduino IDE if you want to put code onto the Arduino (if not then we will do this for you)
## Schedule
### Workshop: 10am to ~ 4pm
- Intro: What are visuals & lights?
- Visualize music with modV
- Control lights with luminave
- Connect modV & luminave with each other
- Outro: How to perform live!
### Party: 10pm to ~ 6am
In the evening after the workshop we will have a party in the same location (super awesome house with a garden in the center of the city) with several DJs playing electronic music. If you want to use the knowledge you gained from the workshop in a live setup, then we are happy to host you. If you just want to relax after a long day, you are also free to do so.
## Notes
Please take a look at the preperations at https://github.com/TimPietrusky/visual-and-light-workshop
None of the above is strictly required but at least a computer with the installed software would make your experience significantly better.
As space is a bit tight make sure you RSVP if you want to make sure you're not left out.
English speaking event.
