Hello everybody:

We will have a screening of the movie Super 8 in February, and Rhonda and Phil Vigeant, owners of the company Pro8mm, will talk about their involvement in the film, about the commercial use of Super 8 film today, and about their company. They'll introduce the movie and give a talk after the screening (with Q&A).

Join us for this fun and educational journey into the world of Super 8 filmmaking. This will be during Oscar season, so it shall be a fun month.

ABOUT THE PRO 8MM INVOLVEMENT IN THE FILM:

Pro8mm provided all the film, stock and processing for the actual Super 8 footage that was in the film. We also provided a Max 8 Super 8 camera that ASC Cinematographer Larry Fong used on the set. Bad Robot, the production company purchased 3 super 8 cameras as gifts before the shooting started. There was also a lot of Super 8 film that was shot that was not in the movie, but used for Promos and contests.
