Join the Burnaby Tech Meetup for a fireside chat with Fez Rismani, the co-founder of Daily Delivery (http://www.dailydelivery.ca/), as he shares details on his start-up journey, from lessons to challenges to his appearance on Dragon’s Den!
Fez is the co-founder and Executive Director at Daily Delivery, a cloud-based e-commerce and logistics platform empowering local stores and restaurants to setup shop online, and offer on-demand deliveries to their customers. Having grown up in an entrepreneurial environment driven by his father, it was only natural for Fez to start his own business. Since starting in 2014, Fez has helped grow Daily Delivery from just a few electric scooters to a booming business with expected sales of $800,000.
Building on the growing sharing economy, Daily Delivery uses a crowdsourcing model to connect businesses with local Delivery Specialists who would provide on-demand deliveries to customers. Their model has allowed over 300 local restaurants and stores to offer customers quick, convenient, and on-demand delivery services while creating over 250 part-time jobs for local Delivery Specialists.
The rise of Daily Delivery has been documented in VancityBuzz, Business in Vancouver, Betakit, and the Financial Post. Most recently, Fez and his brother and co-founder Sal delivered a pitch on the popular CBC program Dragon’s Den and successfully struck a deal with two of the Dragons.
