Talk: Kafka Streams API - Szymon Chojnacki (Campus Only)

Details
Apache Kafka Streams API (https://kafka.apache.org/0110/documentation/streams/) is a new feature added to Kafka in version 0.10.0. It enables to compute statistics from windowed messages. It is one of three main pillars of Kafka as streaming platform. Two other pillars are messaging and storage.
During this meetup I would like to:
• Show how to build a demo live dashboard with the Streams API
• Together identify use cases in EBI for Kafka
• Describe Kafka in the context of other technologies (e.g. Apache Spark, ELK)
I will try to make this presentation interactive. I will start with gentle introduction and gradually touch more advanced topics.
