Meisner Technique (Fundamentals)

This is an ongoing weekly class at the heart of Kingston.

We work with you very much as individuals in this class, no matter what your training background. The classes start out very easy, and each week students are challenged to take their work further and get out of their comfort zones.

We focus on your emotional understanding, (as opposed to intellectual understanding) a teaching that is sadly very lacking in school curricula to help you get out of your head. You will learn things like how to work with subtext, how to read other people's body language, how you come across through the way you carry yourself , how to relate to and read others, developing a heightened sense of awareness. You'll be encouraged to take risks, to get in touch with your emotions (the tools of the Actors trade).
