Art Photography, Beer Pizza and Thou

Calling all designers. This will be an informal roundtable discussion about fine art photography and related topics of interest. Some of the topics we will be discussing are:

•Photography: when does it become fine art?
•Compositional techniques for creating strong presence in photographic works
•Effective use of lighting in the studio and outdoors
•Applying adjustment layers and other techniques in Photoshop

Bring a couple photographs, or a couple samples of a project you are working on. We'll share input about the work.

It would also be great to get a sense to from members interested in photography, what types of topics they'd like to have future photography related meetups on.

As always, members of all design disciplines are especially welcome. Cross-pollination, and cross-inspiration is a big part of why we are doing Design Venturers ;)

Directions to John Polak Photography Studio inside Eastworks:
Park in the large parking lot. go into the entrance that has the movie marquee over it. Immediately on your left, there is an elevator. Go to the fourth floor. Go to the end of the hallway, and take a left. Go down to Suite #408. You're there.

We'll meet from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Bring a $5 donation towards beer and pizza
