Introduction to Git versioning

Versioning systems are an important part of the software development process, but are often skipped over in programming books. Git is widely used in the software industry for a reason. It is incredibly easy to use on a day to day basis, and it also has a lot of advanced features as well.

Once you are beyond the basics with Python, your applications might have multiple files with lots of code. Git helps you track every change, and acts as an 'undo' button.

As always, if you want to follow along with the talk you will need a administrative privileges on a computer with Bash shell and Git installed. If you are using a Linux or Apple machine, it is already installed for you, easy!
