Return of the Creative Web

Details
With everything there is to keep up with in tech and the world at large, it's easy to forget why many of us got into the field in the first place: the pure joy of making something interesting and different out of nothing. While the wonderland of creative expression that cropped up around sites like MySpace, GeoCities and NeoPets has given way to the walled gardens of social media behemoths, that is changing thanks to technologies like mixed reality and powerful new browser APIs, combined with distrust of social media monopolies and the growth of new communities built around creative sharing. Chazona Baum, Apprentice Technologist at Maxx Potential will help us take a look at how these new technologies are fueling a new surge in creative and cultural expression on the web, and how you can get started with creations of your own, even if you're not a developer or you "don't do front end."
