GTA/Toronto APEX Meetup with Martin D'Souza

Dear GTA Oracle APEX developers,

The festive time is over and It is time to get back to our passion- Oracle APEX!

That said, I am glad to announce the 2nd GTA/Toronto Meetup which will happen on Jan 12th at 4PM in Toronto! The venue is the DesTech Office ( http://www.destech.com ).

For this meetup we will have a special guest whose name means a lot in the Oracle APEX World – Mr. Martin D’Souza.

He will have a word on a very interesting topic that I believe will tickle everyone’s curiosity and attention: The open source and APEX!

Most people don’t associate the words open source and Oracle. That time has changed as it is becoming more common for Oracle developers to publish their projects on open source platforms such as GitHub. This talk will focus on how you can leverage open source projects as part of your APEX development practices and integrate them in your applications. It will highlight some popular open source APEX projects and plugins.

The agenda for this meetup will be as follows:

1. Welcome note – Igor (2-3 minutes);

2. Host Intro – DesTech (5 -10 minutes);

3. Martin D’Souza topic with Q/A (1 to 1 ½ hour)

4. Open Discussion (about 1 hour);

5. Meetup Closing Note/ Adjourn – Igor (2-3) minutes
