**Please dress appropriately, the temperature along with the wind chill makes running the Marina a bit uncomfortable if you're not prepared (I found out from experience haha). I recommend gloves, long sleeves, a sweater or possibly a wind breaker, and leggings. After about 10-15 minutes of activity I was able to get my blood flowing and warm up **

What is a beginner meetup?

-These meetups are generally made to help get you going; as a stepping stone to get you into running at the intermediate level. Regardless of whether you consider yourself a beginner, intermediate or advanced runner, this will still be a good workout. In a beginner meetup, you must understand that we will take frequent breaks (as necessary). If you find yourself having more energy than the rest of the group, you can run or do workouts in place. I will do ab workouts at the same pace as an intermediate meetup, there is no pressure to do as many as I do, I am simply keeping the workout going. If you are completely new to working out, don't worry if you can only do 2 push ups; with time you will do more and more. Simply do your best/what you can.

Itinerary:

5:45a-We will meetup, do some introductions while we stretch, do some smaller workouts, go over a nutrition tip of the day.

5:50/5:55a - We'll do 2 sets of ab workouts and 2 sets of push ups for 15 - 20 min. I'll post the workouts soon but they include legs lifts, curl ups, bicycle kicks, 2 sets of push ups, and if we're feeling gutsy, 1 minute planks.

6:10a - We'll run the 1 mile track; since this is a beginner run we'll take a break as needed every 1/4 mile. After the mile track we'll

-If you feel that 1 mile was enough, you are free to go. We'll then run down the trail (it's 1.5 miles but we'll only run down 1 mile of it). Take a break/stretch. Run back (another 1 mile). If you feel good at the 3-mile mark, feel free to stop but ultimately we will run the track one more time for a total of 4 miles. By the end of the 3-4 miles, it will likely be 7a which is when I'll need to go, if we have time we'll do one more ab-set. We'll finish off with a quick stretch.
