Who we are
We are a friendly, mixed-ability group. There is a social element, and we often go for a cuppa before or after each session, as we have for nearly ten years.

Everyone is welcome. Our key values are to be inclusive and accessible.
The venue has disabled facilities, and everyone is welcome, including beginners or experienced meditators.

What we do
Robert teaches Mindfulness-Based Resilience. Mindfulness-Based Resilience combines stress management, emotional Resilience, and Mindfulness/Meditation techniques.

The meditation aspect forms the basis of the practices and focuses on the breath for mindfulness meditation. There are also compassion and gratitude practices.

Many techniques provide benefits in all three areas simultaneously, so the training is effective and time efficient.
The techniques centre on breathing practices though there are body and relaxation practices, mantras and mandala meditation too.

We also meditate in nature as often as possible.

In the summer, we meditate in a quiet glade in Bromley Common, five minutes from the venue and at Beckenham Place Park at the wood circle.
I also run retreats in nature, and we do country meditative walks and forest bathing (all optional).

What we don't do
Chant (though I teach mantra meditations through silent thoughts).
Dance or whirl.
Expect you to contribute or 'share'.
Expect you to sit cross-legged because we have comfortable chairs (though some students bring yoga mats and either lie down or sit on the floor).
Try to convert you to any religious or spiritual concepts or dogma.
Lecture you about pseudo-science.
Each session is designed to assist you in your personal journey.
