Sunday Clean-Up Day

Details

Update from the Humane Society of Louisiana: as part of our Humane Society's Habitat Restoration Program, we organize clean-up events several times a year to restore bayous, wooden areas, and estuaries to their natural state. We have likely pulled tons of trash and debris out of canals and waterways over the past few years. This Sunday, we plan to pick up trash and debris from the woods and swampy areas of Lower Coast Algiers, and we are honored to announce that our eco-friendly Mayor of New Orleans and a good friend of ours, LaToya Cantrell, will be joining us! Please join us for an afternoon that will make a difference in the lives of the mammals, waterfowl, and marine life that live among us and deserve a clean environment.
Where: we'll be meeting on the corner of Stanton Street and English Turn Blvd, across from English Turn Estates in Lower Coast Algiers, and walk into the adjacent wooded areas that are littered with trash and debris.

When: This Sunday, April 11th, from 1 - 2: 30 pm

What to Bring: bug repellant, boots, long pants, and gloves
we will provide contractor trash bags and bottled water. Questions? Please contact us at info@humanela.org.
