Just like any good Italian family, this event is about food, family, freinds and fun!

Looking forward to seeing everyone at our next YVR Foodies event (in partnership with Zomato and Trattoria) on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 6 - 9 pm at Trattoria on Kingsway and Willingdon! We will be providing delicious samples of some of Trattoria's best menu items and have some amazing guest speakers including one of the head chefs who will share about the history and vision of Trattoria and some of the popular menu items. In addition, Jessica Smith will be sharing about Food Blogging and Food Photography!

COST:

$20 admission (which includes appies, mains, desserts, & education) + Tips (suggested $5 or up)

TIPPING:

We value the work of the servers and kitchen staff so we expect ALL attendees to tip a minimum of $5 for service (18% since it's a large group event). This tipping policy includes all the YVR Foodies & Zomato Leadership Team Members as well as all speakers, attendees, and volunteers. Let's honour the people who work so hard to serve us! :)

Jessica Smith - Food Photography (Keynote Speaker)

Jessica Smith, a professional photographer and avid food lover, will be sharing some of her top photo tips to all attendees on how to better capture your food!! She will also be speaking on the subject of branding and the importance of finding your niche market in a sea of foodies! Make sure to bring along your DSLR cameras and Smart Phones to learn how to improve your food photography skills!

In addition, we will have 2 speakers from Glowbal and Trattoria:

Brent O’Connor – Director of Sales – Glowbal Brand, Trattoria Burnaby

Born and raised in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, Brent headed to Calgary first working with a number of companies in the banking and oil & gas fields.

Looking to the West, he found his passion in the hospitality industry by working through a number of hotel chains and becoming the top sales manager for – Shangri-la, Westin, Sheraton and Best Western hotels all located in Vancouver.

After a number of years of working with large corporate and entertainment clients, he turned his sights on the Glowbal Restaurant Group whereby he directs the sales efforts for the company’s fourteen locations in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
