Our meeting went really well in helping us stay writer-connected by having it on the phone on March 14, and we will again hold it by phone on March 28. Call our conference number at (425) 436-6322 and enter access code 169789. You should be entering the call "muted." In order to speak, press *6, then to mute again press *6.
Our group is for anyone who is serious about writing -- short story, long story, script, poetry, memoir, dissertation, news article, love letter. It's a chance for us to write in community, explore our voice, refine our craft, and support one another in completing our projects.
Order of biz:
· 10-15 min Introductions and socializing
· One hour and 15 minutes of ACTUAL WRITING (work on a current project or start a new one)
· Half hour of read-back. Anyone who wants to gets three to five minutes to read from what they wrote that day or from a work-in-progress. This is NOT a critique session. It is merely a chance to read your work out loud, which is good for writers and good for the group. It's voluntary, no pressure to do so. But we have found it does help make our writing better. We can hear things in the work that may need extra attention, and revise accordingly.
