SSMMA Meetup to Open the ILOpenTech Challenge

Join us for the second South Suburban Mayors and Managers meeting of the Illinois Open Technology Challenge (http://illinoisopentech.org/)(ILOpenTech) at Governor State University.

At this meetup, we will discuss the launch of the contest. We published the rules, gave information on judging, and announced the prizes. We'll field any questions and be available to give advice on submissions. We'll also talk more about the data, facilitate team discussions and formation, and hear from the community about their technology needs. 6 - 6:30 Introductions

We'll go around the room, introduce ourselves, and say a brief statement about what you’re up to.

6:30 – 7 Review Challenge Rules

We'll review the rules (see the rules here (http://illinoisopentech.org/challenge/) and a blog post accompanying the rules (http://illinoisopentech.org/the-ilopentech-challenge-is-now-open/)), the information on judging, and announce the prizes. There will be $15,000 in prize money for a South Suburbs of Chicago-focused solution.

7 – 8 Discussion and Team Formation

We'll answer questions and talk amongst ourselves about data, technology, and community!
