Merging Three Key Emerging Technologies: IoT/AI and Blockchain
What is BlockChain and what does it have to do with the internet of things? What role does artificial intelligence play in the internet of things? The internet of things has created greater connectivity between every part of our lives: smart phones enabling control of smart homes, connected cars that are summoned with a finger touch, and limitless potential to digitize anything and everything that will help improve our lives, work more efficiently, improve the customer experience of whatever work we do, while also helping us keep in touch with our loved ones. With greater connectedness comes the need to filter out unwanted connections without the frustrations associated with "false positives".
Blockchain is a distributed ledger system most commonly associated with crypto currencies. But there's more to Blockchain than that. It can be used to help shore up one of the fundamental weaknesses of IoT, namely the decrease in trust as the number of IoT devices increase.
While the term "artificial intelligence" used to mean future-oriented computer technologies that were not quite ready for prime time, these days it means teaching computers to find patterns in data, and helping improve the quality of automated processes.
All of these important technologies will be discussed by our guest speaker, Karl Weaver.
