Our August meeting will be an Angular JS reprise. Our member Kate Hamilton, who is a front-end developer at Hoover's, will give a general overview of Angular JS and some of the most useful, basic moving parts. We'll also do some hands-on exercise, like a quick little search/filter form and view-switching, so bring your laptops.

As you may remember, we had a presentation on Angular JS by Justin Lowery in May. In his talk he compared Angular against other Javascript frameworks, and presented some criteria for picking the right Javascript framework for your needs. If somebody wants to refresh their memory of Justin's presentation, I (the organizer) wrote a blog post about it here: http://sfragments.blogspot.com/2013/06/making-sense-of-criteria-for-making.html . It was a very high-level overview talk. This talk by Kate Hamilton will hopefully focus more on mechanics of Angular JS.

After the presentation I expect there will be time to socialize and work on our own projects, as usual.
