Olaf Alders -- Delegating Jobs to Your Minions (and more!)

Using a job queue can make your (digital) life a lot easier. In this talk we'll chat about using the Minion job queue with and without a Mojolicious application in order to avoid managing a bunch cron jobs and also to speed up your page load times.

Along the way we'll also see how trivial it can be to integrate your Mojo app with GitHub, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify, Instagram, RunKeeper and others. All of this work is in the context of a new pet project I've been working on, so I'll also be talking a bit about my development stack, which includes Vagrant, Ansible, Mojolicious, HighCharts.js, Twitter Bootstrap, WrapBootstrap, Carton, Wercker, Travis, GitHub and even Bitbucket.

To wrap things up, we'll take a look at a trivially easy way to graph and track your numbers of GitHub followers, Hacker News karma, Twitter followers, Instagram shares, Facebook likes or even Spotify popularity.
