Otaki Kite Festival - Photo Opportunity

Just to let you know the Kite Festival is on this weekend, we've been the last two years and there are lots of photo opportunities.

Come fly with us at the 5th annual Otaki Kite Festival, one hour’s drive north of Wellington, presented by the Otaki Promotions Group Inc.

Fun for all the family, this free event brings together NZKA kite fliers from all around New Zealand, Peter Lynn Kites of Ashburton and international guest kite fliers (details coming shortly) - to showcase their artistry, design and flying skills. Spectacular kites of all shapes, sizes and styles thrill those viewing from the beach, above the dunes and the Pavilion roof - expect to be delighted by the sight of massive inflatable kites, stained glass window and bug kites through to tiny fluttering seagull kites.

Bring your own kite and join in the fun! Or buy one there to fly at the beach.

Visit our food and drink vendors located around the site and browse the market stalls to find something special to take home! Be sure to look out for the kiddies’ entertainment area too, including bouncy castle, merry-go-round, face painting and more.

There will be entertainment on the beach including Japanese Rokkaku fighting kite battles and stunt kite flying demonstrations. Various groups will perform on-stage throughout the weekend - watch this space and our website http://www.kitefestival.org.nz for details as they are confirmed.
