Walk along Asylum Avenue from Prospect Avenue to Sumner Street to collect information, including:

  • How long do you have to wait for the pedestrian signal at major intersections?
  • How many drivers run red lights?
  • What improvements should be made to the street, sidewalks, and intersections?
  • Anything else you think is relevant

Then we will walk back to Elizabeth Park on the other side of Asylum Ave to collect more data. Round trip distance is 3 miles, but I am allotting 2 hours since we will be stopping frequently.

I will take notes and share them with you, or you can take your own notes. Use the notes to have detailed things to say in the public meeting for traffic calming on Asylum Avenue.

The public meeting will be on Sunday, January 30, at 224 Ecospace (224 Farmington Ave). There is also a virtual option. Visit www.hartfordct.gov/pz/AsylumAveTrafficCalming for more information.
