Embedded Qt with Buildroot

Welcome to the initial meetup of the Lisbon Qt Trolls! In our first talk Peter will present how to build an environment for embedded Qt development with Buildroot. The environment consists of a cross-compile toolchain on the host and a complete embedded Linux/Qt image to run your application on the embeddded device. We will use the Raspberry as demo platform, but the basic steps can create images for most platforms that are supported in Buildroot. The embedded Qt system supports multimedia, OpenGL, secure network connections, Qt Quick, and more features of the Qt framework. The environment supports remote deployment with the Qt Creator on the host. As an example application we will show how to use Buildroot and Qt to boot directly into a graphical Qt application with touchscreen support.
