Generating dynamic reports from Shiny using Rmarkdown and custom LaTeX templates

Details
Abstract: The Rmarkdown package provides a syntax for dynamically generating PDF documents from R code. By design, the Rmarkdown ecosystem simplifies the process of authoring documents by supporting a limited number of features. This presentation will focus on leveraging the simplicity of the Rmarkdwown syntax to produce highly customized documents by extending the underlying LaTeX commands. Topics will include deploying the Shiny downloadHandler with Rmarkdown templates, using shiny parameters in Rmarkdown, understanding the LaTeX commands natively deployed by the Rmarkdown YAML, and customizing PDF output using raw LaTeX commands and templates.
