RVA Game Jams (http://www.rvagamejams.com) is a community project created to get video game developers and enthusiasts from the Richmond area together to participate in game jams. We want to learn more about developing games, network with each other, host speakers, events and more. We are interested in exploring games as a form of art, communication and entertainment.
RVA Game Jams aims to support and develop the creative, tech-savvy game development community in the Richmond area and beyond! We're so excited to work with the folks from 804RVA in their awesome venue!
Ludum Dare (http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/) is a regular accelerated game development Event. Participants develop games from scratch in a weekend, based on a secret theme suggested by community.
The event attracts developers from all sides of the industry. Students, hobbyists, industry professionals from many well respected game studios, as well as many independent game developers.
For many people, it can be difficult to find or make the time create a game or prototype for yourself. We’re here to be your excuse.
