Hawaii Kai Festival of Lights Boat Parade

Details

Here's another event to help get you in the Christmas spirit. I attended the boat parade for the first time in 2022, and had a blast.

I made the location the Hawaii Kai Towne Center (sponsor), but there are many places around the harbor for viewing the parade. Examples include: Kona Brewing at Koko Marina, Costco Shopping Center, Liko’s, Island Brew, and Tex 808. The key is to just have a view of the harbor at sunset.

As the sun sets, the boats light up more and more and many boats have people dancing to music and it is a magical show! After the boats go around the main marina they make sure to give all the marina front homes a show from Kuapa Isle to the very back of the marina past the Peninsula to Mariners Cove!

Also, expect delays in the start time. Even if you get there late, the boat typically go around Kuapa Pond twice.

If you go, plan on taking and uploading plenty pictures.

This event is sponsored by the Hawaii Kai Towne Center and Koko Marina Center.
