MW Restaurant - Dinner for 8, Ala Moana

It's been awhile since MW Restaurant has been on Meetup, so let's dress up and dine together. It's rated 4.5🌟 and described as fine dining so expect to spend $100+ for yourself. MW offers a creative menu with flavorful dishes and desserts. The rich cultural diversity here is reflected in the local cuisines which blends flavors and techniques from around the world

Here's a random review: Wade Ueoka and Michelle Karr-Ueoka, both alums of Alan Wong's Honolulu, are behind MW Restaurant. The menu takes local tastes and turns them into special occasion fare, ideal for sharing family-style. Highlights include an ahi poke that stands out in a town full of ahi pokes, with the inclusion of pieces of uni, ikura and rice crackers. For entrées or larger plates, there's the mochi-crusted kampachi or tofu for vegetarians. It's not uncommon to see guests order one of each of the frequently changing desserts just to get a taste of Michelle's fanciful and often deconstructed creations.

A five-course tasting menu (bottom) with wine pairings is also available ($120/$39). Cocktails (including non-alcoholic versions) can incorporate local ingredients. Look out for happy hour specials at the bar.

Save room for dessert. MW Restaurant won the Gold Award (2023 Hale ‘Aina Award Winners ) for the island's best dessert selection.

Valet is located on the 2nd Floor through Velocity Service Center. Sharp right off of Kapiolani Blvd. Straight down to the end of the lane by the wired fence. Right turn up the ramp and follow the round about.
