The Manoa Cliff Trail is a 4-mile round-trip hike that winds through the lush tropical rainforests of the Manoa Valley. The trail features bamboo hallways, which are an incredibly beautiful part of the hike. The total incline for the trail is around 900 feet (274 meters), making it a challenging climb but well worth the effort for the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The trail begins with a moderately steep, dirt trail through the forest, winding over roots and beneath the canopy, and immersing hikers in the lush forest. It take about 3 hours to complete.

This hike is dog friendly.

Recommended for the hike:

  • Bring plenty of WATER and snacks to keep your energy going. There is very little shade.
  • Wear a pair of closed-toe shoes with good traction.
  • Hiking poles may help on steep descents and ascents.
  • Spikes may help on loose gravel and slick sections.
