Manana Trail
Details
This relatively easy out-and-back hike offers a magnicent view of the Ko'olau, the Wai'anae mountain range, Pearl Harbor and the Ewa Plains. The group plans to hike to the Boy Scout Shelter which is approximately 2.1 miles one way with an elevation gain of roughly 1200 feet, with the option for others to continue farther at their own risk. The trail is generally well maintained and clearly marked.
The trail is mostly wide except for a few sections. Bring plenty of WATER, sun protection and be careful with your footing because some sections could be slippery due to rain. The event duration is approximate. It will depend on the hike speed and other conditions.
Recommended for the hike:
- Bring plenty of WATER and snacks to keep your energy going.
- Must wear a pair of closed-toe shoes with good traction.
- Spikes or hiking poles may help for better footing, especially if it rains. Rain jacket in case it rains.
