Waimano Tunnels
Details
This hike follows a portion of the Waimano Ridge Trail toward the summit, but we'll only travel about 2¼ miles in before turning around. The total distance will be approximately 4½ miles. Depending on the group's energy level and trail conditions, we may turn the hike into a loop. Elevation gain is relatively minimal, ranging from about 200 to 400 feet depending on the final route. This is a moderate outing with scenic ridge views and a steady, enjoyable trail
The trail is mostly shaded with lots of vegetation. It's a dog friendly hike but please be aware that there are also other dogs on the trail.
End time is an estimate. It varies by hike speed, weather and other factors. Please be on time to start the hike.
Recommended:
*Bring plenty of WATER and snacks to keep your energy going.
- Wear a pair of hiking shoes with good traction to avoid tripping and slipping.
*Hiking poles or spikes may help when it gets muddy.
