Homebrew Website Club Berlin #11 - Micropub

Details
Our 11th HWC meeting will be dedicated to Micropub (https://indieweb.org/Micropub). Micropub is an open API standard (W3C (https://indieweb.org/W3C) Recommendation) that is used to create, update, and delete posts on one's own domain using third-party clients, and supersedes both MetaWeblog (https://indieweb.org/MetaWeblog) and AtomPub (https://indieweb.org/AtomPub). Web apps and native apps (e.g. iPhone, Android) can use Micropub to post and edit articles (https://indieweb.org/article), short notes (https://indieweb.org/note), comments (https://indieweb.org/reply), likes (https://indieweb.org/like), photos (https://indieweb.org/photo), events (https://indieweb.org/event), or other kinds of posts (https://indieweb.org/posts) to your own site
Beyond our hot topic session, if you are interested in working on (or even just having) your own homepage, along with both conceptual and technical discussions around an open and independent web, sign up today to join us.
18:30 Warm-up:
Gathering the crowd, catching up, getting to know each other
19:00 Micropub:
• Micropub Introduction
• Micropub API principles
• Micropub Clients (Editors)
• Micropub for Wordpress and other nice Tools
19:30/20:00 Feedback Session
- What are you currently working on? What is the current pain point on your personal website or with the social web at large? (These can be related to the Indieweb technology stack or not, and it is of course optional; to join us it is not necessary – though encouraged – to present anything.)
After:
Continuing the conversations, helping each other out, or just having another drink at bar around the corner
