Zoom Back to 1986: Exploring the Music Charts
Details
THEME: A CHART FROM 1989
Join us on Zoom as we turn the clock back to 1986 and explore one music chart from the year, song by song.
We'll listen to selections from across the chart: from the biggest hits near the top to songs further down that may have been forgotten, overlooked, or become more familiar in the years since.
Along the way, we'll look at what was climbing, what was falling, which songs were at their peaks, and some of the chart history and stories behind the music. Expect a mix of familiar favorites, forgotten songs, and a few surprises.
There will also be trivia, conversation, and opportunities to share your own 1986 favorites and requests.
New to the group? You're welcome to simply listen. Cameras are optional, and there's no pressure to speak or request a song.
After the meetup, I'll share a playlist featuring music from the session so you can revisit it later.
Optional bonus: If you enjoy 80s music trivia, try the free daily 80s Music Chart Challenge between meetups. No signup is needed to play the basic daily quiz.
