Too often do we gain awareness without love. Too often have I witnessed someone tell the truth with violence instead of non-violence. As we see, truth (sayta) is secondary to ahimsa (non-violence).

In fact, even lying is good and useful at times as long as the overarching intent is non-violence.

PROJECT NON-VIOLENCE involves:

  • a project-based approach to non-violence: what we did in the last week that led to negative mind-states, what we could've done to perform an act of love instead of asking for love (all acts are an act of love or a request for love - ACIM). All of this is done in Socratic meditiatve form, meaning that we do not ask you to verbalize your conflict.
  • Learning the elements of non-violent communication, starting with needs and ending with observation (a non-physical metaphysical spiritual act).
  • Examining other forms of communication and conflict resolution that are non-violent other than Non-violent Communication as developed by Marshall Rosenberg (e.g. Internal Family Systems, Imago Therapy).
