Combat Con - 3 day event

CombatCon is the brainchild of several Western Martial Artists who wanted to gather people from all manners of backgrounds and interests with one really awesome thing in common — they all love fighting! From comic book fans to movie stars, from role-players to weapons makers, CombatCon is a melting-pot of people who enjoy martial arts, sword fighting, high-octane action, and good, old fashioned fun. Specifically, CombatCon focuses on the Western Martial Arts (WMA) (http://thecombatcon.com/western-martial-arts), so you’ll find knights in armor, elves with bows and short swords, longsword experts teaching lightsaber technique, Wild West Steampunks learning the finer points of fisticuffs and walking cane defense, knife masters displaying their deadly art, and everything in between.

One important and fun element of CombatCon is its intimate feel and direct access to featured guests and world class martial arts instructors. The convention is kept to under 1,750 people so you won’t get lost in the crowd! There are many opportunities to hang out with some truly amazing people — from actors to fight directors to authors to artists to knife throwers and whip crackers. Heck you might even get to be part of a webisode being filmed at the con! The possibilities are endless at CombatCon: Where History and Fantasy Meet.

What’s CombatCon’s Mission? The mission of CombatCon is very simple. We want to provide a national platform for Western Martial Arts and showcase the best that WMA has to offer. At the same time, we want to create an atmosphere where our participants can have the time of their lives, hang out with old friends, make new friends, meet our amazing featured guests, and take part in all kinds of controlled mayhem. We’d love to have you join us — we promise it’ll be a hoot!

Do you like swords & mayhem? Combat Con is a mind-blowing mixture of Comic Cons and Western Martial Arts workshops held in the only place that could possibly handle something this amazing...Las Vegas! This multi-genre fan convention puts a unifying emphasis on the Western... Martial Arts in Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Steampunk, Dark Fantasy, Cosplay, Comics, The Golden Age of Piracy, and Speculative Fiction.

By bringing together your favorite actors and movie fight directors (see http://thecombatcon.com/special-guests ) and the best WMA teachers (see http://thecombatcon.com/instructors ) you can take classes, workshops, attend panel discussions, get autographs, watch live demos or our film expo, take part in a costume contest and party all night. Not to mention the opportunity to hang with old friends and make some new ones.

Children 12 and under admitted FREE with paid adult registration. Children younger than 13 must be accompanied by an adult (18 and over) at all times, and may not participate in martial arts classes or martial arts competitions.
